The national youth squash players delivered an amazing result at the Asian Junior Squash Championships in Aabpara, Islamabad, as they brought home three gold medals from the finals on Saturday (June 29). Malaysia had five players who made it into the finals and successfully captured three titles in the junior event. One of Malaysia’s wins in the girls' event was through 14-year-old CIMB Foundation-sponsored squash player Harleein Tan, who also won in straight sets to take home the title. Harleein, who is the top seed in the Under-15 event, made quick work of second seed Chloe Lo of Hong Kong, winning 11-8, 11-4, 11-6 in just 32 minutes. Malaysia topped the medal standings in the tournament with three gold, two silver and nine bronze medals.
