National Kidney Foundation continues to run health screening activities in Penang, Kedah and Johor to address the growing number of kidney patients amongst Malaysians. The programme’s objective is to provide early detection for patients, and began in March covering 4 locations in Perlis.

 

NKF offers free health checks for the following services:

1. Blood sugar test

2. Body Mass Index (BMI) and waist circumference measurement

3. Urine test (blood, glucose and protein)

4. Blood test (blood sugar and total cholesterol test)

5. Counseling session by nutritionist/dietitian

 

28 Mar – 2 April: Prai, Pulau Pinang – total 347 pax

1. Masjid Pajak Song, Kepala Batas, Penang = 85 pax

2. Masjid Daerah Seberang Perai Utara = 66 pax

3. Masjid At-Taqwa, Bertam Indah, Penang = pax

4. CIMB Bank Jalan Bahru, Prai = 86 pax

 

10 – 13 Apr: Yan & Guar Chempedak – total 265 pax

1. Persatuan Belia MAYC Yan, Kedah = 54 pax

2. Persatuan Ugama Buddha, Guar Chempedak = 66 pax

3. Dewan Pertanian Kg Kelantan Kuala Dulang Besar, Yan = 57 pax

 4. CIMB Guar Chempedak Branch = 88 pax

 

23 – 27 April : Kulim – total 353 pax

1. Dewan JKKK Kg Kebun Baru = 51 pax

2. Dewan Felcra Sekijang = 51 pax

3. Dewan Felcra Kemelah = 75 pax

4. Balai Islam Rumah Rakyat Bekok = 75 pax

5. CIMB Bank Segamat Branch = 101 pax

 

24 – 27 April: Segamat, Johor – 355 pax

1. Masjid Tunku Addurrahman Putra = 68 pax

2. CIMB Bank Kulim Branch = 77 pax

3. Dewan Orang Ramai Kg Keladi, Kulim = 93 pax
