To aid monkeys and other wildlife in safely crossing the road and avoid being killed in accidents, a canopy bridge, Numi's Crossing has been installed at Jalan Lembah Permai, Tanjung Bungah.

This is the first wildlife canopy bridge installed in a residential area in Malaysia.

The environmental and wildlife conservation project was sponsored by CIMB Foundation for the "Bridge to Coexist: Coexistence of Long-Tailed Macaques in an Urban Environment in Penang" social enterprise and The Habitat Foundation.

Other collaborators include the MPKK Tanjung Bungah and Development Committee, APE Malaysia social enterprise, and Universiti Sains Malaysia.

The founder and lead of the "Bridge to Coexist: Coexistence of Long-Tailed Macaques in an Urban Environment in Penang" social enterprise mentioned that this RM35,000 project is sponsored by CIMB Foundation.

The initiative aims to achieve environmental education, wildlife conservation, and citizen science goals, with the primary objective of promoting balanced coexistence between humans and wildlife.
