On Wednesday (January 31), Persatuan Sosial dan Kebajikan Amal Bakti Johor Bahru, a welfare association received a generous donation of RM25,000 from the CIMB Foundation. This funding is designated to support the Single Mother's Mutual Aid Association and the Ji Shan Food Bank Project, benefitting single mothers and cancer patients. The president of Persatuan Sosial dan Kebajikan Amal Bakti Johor Bahru, Goh Teck Kuan said that the association plans to use RM15,000 of the donation to purchase milk formula for cancer patients through the Ji Shan Food Bank Project. “Each household of cancer patients will receive a one-time assistance of two cans of milk powder, and it is estimated that 60 households of patients will benefit within a year. If there is any surplus fund, it will be used to purchase milk powder for diabetic patients in the beneficiary families.” He also stated that the Love Kitchen (I-Dapur), led by the association, believes that it will be able to assist single-parent families in the Single Mothers Mutual Aid Association, increasing their income by at least RM500 per month after its implementation this year.
