The women's squash team led by CIMB-sponsored squash player Sivasangari Subramaniam started their World Team Championships campaign by humbling Macau 3-0 at Hong Kong Football Club in Hong Kong on Monday (December 9). Sivasangari started off by beating Gigi Yeung 11-0, 11-3, 11-9 in 15 minutes to get the ball rolling for the team. World No. 10 Sivasangari is expected to take on world No. 20 Melissa Alves in the first game, while world No. 19 Rachel Arnold could play her first match in the tournament by taking on world No. 45 Marie Stephan. The men's team, led by CIMB Foundation-sponsored squash player Ng Eain Yow, will start their campaign on Tuesday (December 10) by taking on Scotland. World No. 13 Eain Yow could face Greg Lobban, seven spots below him in the world rankings, in the first match.
