Our Projects

CIMB Foundation Raya shopping programme for underserved children began in 2013. Over the years we have worked with Kamdar, Tesco, Mydin and Giant for children to shop for Raya clothes so that we may assist ease their financial buden during the festive perid. Each child is given RM200 to shop for their Raya clothes.

 

In 2018, we organised the Raya Shopping at three locations - Mydin Kuala Terengganu on 25 May, and Tesco Hypermarket Penang and Tesco Mutiara Damansara on 26 May. 

 

Effendy Shahul Hamid, CEO Group Asset Management & Investments, and Ooi Gaik Choo, Regional Director 14, along with CIMB volunteers joined 100 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Terengganu (PERKAYA) at Mydin Kuala Terengganu on 25 May.

 

Datuk Dr. Richard Leete, Trustee CIMB Foundation, and Faridah Anum, Regional Director 11, were entertaining 100 children from Pusat Jagaan Permata Kasih and Rumah Jagaan Harapan Al-Mahabbah at Tesco Hypermarket Penang. 50 CIMB volunteers helped out at the event.

 

At the same time, Raja Datin Seri Johanna, wife of CIMB Group CEO, and Dato Hamidah Naziadin, CEO CIMB Foundation were busy at Tesco Mutiara Damansara. 78 CIMB volunteers turned up to help over 200 children from the following centres:

  1. Pertubuhan Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf (RAYA) Kampung Sijangkang
  2. Pusat Jagaan Lambaian Kasih
  3. Rumah Amal Bistari
  4. Rumah Baitul Sakinah
  5. Malaysian Federation
