A total of 101 hardcore poor families in Sarikei have been identified to benefit from the 'Komuniti Kita’ COVID-19 relief project initiated by CIMB Foundation in collaboration with Rotary Club. According to a statement by Sarikei Rotary Club, CIMB Foundation donated RM60,000 to implement the community project in Sarikei.

 

It was officially launched by Rotary Club International 3310 district governor Dolly Yeap and CIMB Sarikei branch manager Normah Edueng at Doremart recently. “We aim to help 101 hardcore poor families in Sarikei for three months.

 

I am very impressed with the cooperation rendered by Rotary Club of Sarikei, despite limitations imposed during the pandemic,” she said. Dolly said that they felt honoured to be part of the programme.

 

“Our sincere thanks to CIMB Foundation for such a meaningful community project,” she added. Also present at the launch were Rotary Club of Sarikei chartered president Johnny Su and Rotary Club International 3310 assistant governor Fabian Ling.
