The Happy Charity Association sponsored by CIMB and CIMB Foundation provided food baskets to 250 impoverished families in Kazhou. Happy Charity Association consultant Datuk Zhou Yuanzhong said that the above-mentioned supplies were handed over to the beneficiaries, which includes 80 indigenous families. He said that each family has received three-months’ supply of food baskets and other supplies sponsored by CIMB and CIMB Foundation, worth a total of RM150,000.

 

He added that the Civil Defense Forces also participated in the distribution by forming a convoy to help deliver the food baskets to the villages of the indigenous families in Zaibi.

 

Before the departure of the convoy, representatives of the joint organisations handed over 28 food baskets to some of the beneficiaries at the Happy Charity Foundation Club.

 

They then departed for the Jiangli Village, Ayid Dushun Village and Chambang Bada Village. Those who attended the physical distribution included Xu Jianchun, consultant of the Happy Charity Association, Chen Qingyang, the director of operations, Rabiya, manager of the Sen A district of CIMB Bank, Abdul Rashid, deputy manager of corporate responsibility of CIMB Foundation, and Kuthbert, director of the Civil Defense Forces.
