CIMB ASEAN Scholarship aims to empower the brightest youth in the region by providing pathway to tertiary education

FULFILLING one’s aspiration or dream often starts with getting to attend your preferred university and pursuing your field of choice.

Then comes the discovery phase of what you do during your university days, to help you shape and steer towards your desired career thereafter.

CIMB Group and CIMB Foundation are committed to empowering youths across Asean to achieve their best.

The CIMB ASEAN Scholarship reinforces the group’s commitment to nurture the brightest minds in the region by providing them with the right start to chart their future.

This group-wide initiative, which was kick-started in 2016, grants scholarships to Malaysian students via CIMB Foundation, whilst in other Asean markets, the scholarships are granted by the group’s respective local banking entities.

The CIMB ASEAN Scholarship has helped over 100 bright and ambitious students take that journey towards fulfilling their dreams, since 2016.

The programme is open to Asean candidates from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and those who have a minimum of one academic year left in their course of study.

Successful candidates of the programme come from a set of diverse backgrounds, with recipients hailing from various Asean countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
