KUALA LUMPUR: Knowledge is a bridge from misery to hope. And hope was here today when CIMB Foundation presented gifts to the 35 students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Pendidikan Khas Jalan Batu, a primary school for the blind, at the launch of Walk With You programme.

Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Foundation, Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin, was there to launch the programme with staff from CIMB Bank Customer Relations Center who volunteered for the day’s activities which includes collage-making class and colouring contest.

In line with CIMB Group’s commitment to give back to the community, funds were given to the school to replace five old and broken braille machines.

“We hope that this will help create a more conducive learning environment for the students. May our efforts not only benefit the students but also the betterment of the society in the long run,” said Hamidah.

The students welcomed Hamidah with music and a special dance routine, followed by a storytelling session and singing performances.

A brand new embosser was also presented to the school along with braille story books in Bahasa Malaysia and English to encourage reading among the students.
