Our Projects

CIMB Foundation, in collaboration with CIMB Commercial Banking and Axile Consulting, launched the Zero Waste & Urban Farm Community Model at SK Taman Tun Dr Ismail (1) aimed at recycling organic food waste into usable compost for farming. The school will be able to compost their food waste using composting machines stationed at the school, and could produce compost within 24 hours.

A few months prior, composting machine was placed at Balai Polis, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) and then at Masjid At-Taqwa, and compost were available for residents to pick up free of charge. The machine has been moved to an urban farm in TTDI where residents may drop off organics for composting. The farm produces organic, chemical-free vegetables.

More machines will be placed at strategic locations in TTDI in the near future, and local communities trained to use the machines and set up urban farms.
