KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd (CIMB) has unveiled its new regional brand campaign, 'Moving You Forward', reinforcing its commitment to enabling customers, businesses and communities across Asean to achieve meaningful progress.

Anchored in the group's purpose of advancing customers and society, the campaign marks the next evolution of CIMB's brand journey and reflects its belief that the true value of banking lies in what it enables.

CIMB's chief brand and marketing officer Toni Darusman said the group's ambition extended beyond banking.

"There is a clear vision that guides everything we do, and that is to be the bank that advances the ambitions of people across Asean.

"It is rooted in the belief that real, meaningful progress happens when business and society move forward together," he said.

He said 'Moving You Forward' reflects how CIMB is bringing its purpose of advancing customers and society to life in a more meaningful and impactful way.

The campaign will be rolled out in phases across social media, digital out-of-home and out-of-home platforms in key regional markets.

It will include a brand film, wall art installations at MRT stations, as well as on-ground and social activations.

RECOGNISING COMMUNITY EFFORTS

The launch coincided with CIMB's inaugural 'CIMB Advancing Societies 2026 – Recognising Impactful Partners' initative, which honoured 11 non-governmental organisations, social activists and community partners from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia.

The honourees were recognised for their efforts in uplifting underserved communities, improving livelihoods, advancing education and protecting the environment.

National track cyclist Datuk Azizulhasni Awang, who is also a CIMB brand ambassador, received the bank's 'Kita Bagi Jadi Hero' recognition for his inspiring journey and continued dedication to empowering others beyond the sporting arena.

CIMB Foundation and CIMB Islamic chief executive officer Ahmad Shahriman Mohd Shariff said meaningful progress should be measured through the positive changes experienced by communities.

"Real progress is not defined by programmes or numbers alone. It is seen in how lives have improved, opportunities are created and the confidence communities gain to move forward," he said.

He added that CIMB's commitment to advancing customers and society included a pledge of RM200 million from 2026 to 2030 to support community initiatives across Asean.

"Our approach focuses on enabling individuals and communities to initiate and lead initiatives that are sustainable in the long term, building the capability and resilience needed for them to thrive independently.

"Through CIMB Advancing Societies 2026, we are proud to celebrate these individuals and organisations whose efforts are creating meaningful impact on the ground," he said.

Among the Malaysian organisations recognised were Ong Yong Xun, the founder of JomStudy, an educational platform, and a scholarship recipient of Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman; Thrive Well's Safe Space Programme, which provides community-based mental health support; and WWF Malaysia, which works to protect the Ulu Muda Forest Complex and other critical ecosystems.

Other honourees included Indonesia's Berdaya Bareng Foundation, Kehati Foundation and Sinergi Mahakarya; the Philippines' Empower and Transform and Pave Philippines; as well as Singapore's Lions Befrienders and Halogen Singapore.
