  • Tan Sri Dato’ Md Nor Yusof
    Appointed as the Chairman of CIMB Foundation on 4 January 2016
    Tan Sri Dato’ Md Nor had spent a significant amount of his working career with CIMB Group Holdings Berhad as a Director and more notably as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Commerce (M) Berhad (now known as CIMB Bank Berhad).

    Tan Sri Dato’ Md Nor completed his term as Executive Chairman of the Securities Commission on 31 March 2006. Prior to that appointment, he was the Managing Director of Malaysian Airline System Berhad after serving a period as Advisor in the Ministry of Finance.

    Appointed to the Board of Trustees of CIMB Foundation on 7 September 2012

    In his 30 year career in the civil service, Tan Sri Rama was the Secretary General of the Ministry of General Planning and Social Economic Research, the Ministry of Works and Utilities and the Ministry of Primary Industries.

    He was also the first Chairman of Malaysia Airlines System Berhad and a founder Director of Malaysian International Shipping Corporation Berhad. He is also on the Board of YTR Harta Sdn Bhd and is a Trustee of a number of other foundations. 

    Tan Sri Rama was a Director of CIMB Bank Berhad and its antecedents from 1987 to 2012. 


    Appointed to the Board of Trustees of CIMB Foundation on 15 November 2007
    Dato’ Mohd Shukri has a long and respected history at CIMB, he was its Chief Operating Officer from February 2003 to January 2006, after which he was appointed Executive Director until his retirement in December 2011.

    He also served as Commissioner of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk from May 2006 to December 2011 and as President Commissioner from May 2006 to December 2011.

    Datuk Dr. Richard currently serves part-time as Adviser to the Minister of Development Planning and Statistics at the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, Doha, Qatar; and Manager of HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah's Economic History of Malaya Project.

    He formerly served as the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore between October 2003 and March 2007, and concurrently served as the Resident Coordinator for the United Nations’ Operational Activities for Development in Malaysia. 

    Prior to his assignment in Malaysia, Datuk Dr. Richard was the Chief of the Population and Development Branch at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Headquarters in New York responsible for global policy on population and development inter-relations. 

    He was awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) (Honorary) that carries the title Datuk.

    Puan Rosnah began her career in banking as a Management Trainee with Bank of Commerce Bhd (now known as CIMB Bank Berhad) in 1979. Early in her career, she was seconded to JP Morgan in New York and attended their Commercial Bank Management Programme. Puan Rosnah has presented at various local and international seminars on banking and is well respected in banking circles.

    In 2004, she completed the Global Leadership Development Programme, initiated by the government to develop leaders in the financial industry. Her last appointment at CIMB was as Senior Executive Vice President heading the Banking Unit, responsible for the strategic businesses of Retail Banking, Business Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury and International Banking. In January 2012, she was appointed to the Board of Directors of CIMB Bank Berhad. Puan Rosnah also sits on the board of CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad. 


    Appointed to the Board of Trustees of CIMB Foundation on 6 August 2015
    Dato’ Robert joined Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad (now known as CIMB Investment Bank Berhad) in 1984 and held the position of Head of Corporate Finance, General Manager and Executive Director, before assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to 1999. From 1999 to 2006, he was an Executive Director of CIMB Investment Bank Berhad.

    Prior to joining CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, Dato’ Robert served in various management positions with the former United Asian Bank Berhad (now known as CIMB Bank Berhad) between 1977 and 1984. He has also worked in various accounting firms in London. He is a Trustee of Yu Chai Foundation and was the Chairman/Independent Director of Tanjong Plc. Dato’ Robert is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

    Dato’ Sri Nazir Razak is Chairman of CIMB Group. He joined CIMB’s corporate advisory department in 1989 and served the Group in various capacities before being appointed Chief Executive in 1999. After 15 years as Chief Executive, he became Chairman on 1 September 2014. He spearheaded the Group’s transformation from a Malaysian investment bank into a leading ASEAN universal bank via several acquisitions and new builds throughout the region.

    Dato’ Sri Nazir holds directorships in various CIMB companies. He is also a Director of Khazanah Nasional, and a Member of the Investment Panel of the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) and the International Advisory Board of the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. He is Chairman of the EPF's Investment Panel Risk Committee, and the World Economic Forum’s ASEAN Regional Strategy Group and ASEAN Regional Business Council. 

    In 2015, he was the recipient of the prestigious Asia House’s ‘Asian Business Leaders Award’ for his overall contribution to economic success, professional excellence, moral leadership and service to society.

  • Dato' Hamidah Naziadin
    Appointed as the CEO of CIMB Foundation in May 2016.
    Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin provides overall strategic leadership for HR of CIMB Group across ASEAN. Under her guidance, HR transformed from an administrative function into a key business enabler, contributing to the Group’s rapid growth into a leading ASEAN financial institution that it is today. She strategised the resource integration, ensuring a successful consolidation in various mergers and acquisitions over the years, within Malaysia, and across ASEAN and APAC regions.

    The principles of good corporate citizenship form another integral part of the Group’s business strategy, which Dato’ Hamidah is also entrusted with. As the CEO of CIMB Foundation, she spearheads corporate responsibility initiatives for the Group, focusing on creating value for the community, bringing bring sustainable benefits through long-term programmes in the three pillars - community development, sports and education.

    Both roles that she serves in distinctly reflect one of the Group’s Core Values, that is, “Enabling People”, which means to empower and align our people to innovate and deliver value in their workplace as well as for the community they serve.
    Dato' Hamidah has nearly 30 years of experience in HR in the financial industry, of which 25 years were with the Group. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

    Freddie heads our Foundation’s working team as well as the Bank’s Corporate Responsibility Department. He joined the Foundation in October 2016. A Chartered Secretary by training, he brings along with him 33 years of consumer banking experience which will be an asset to the Foundation as we leverage on our wide network of branches to implement our community and citizenship programmes across the country. Freddie joined the Bank in 1984 as a credit officer. His last posting before moving to the Foundation was as Head of Consumer Sales and Distribution overseeing 50 Preferred Branches nation-wide. As a native from Sarawak’s highlands, Freddie understands and identify fully with the needs of these communities. Freddie earnestly believe in the theme, “Leaving no one behind”, as adopted by the UN community on September 2015 as its global transformational agenda towards 2030. He is confident that CIMB Foundation will contribute actively towards achieving this goal.

     

    Eugene is one of the founding project team members of CIMB Foundation, having almost 10 years of experience in identifying and implementing CSR programmes for the Foundation. Eugene has experience in identifying sustainable programme for CIMB Foundation and it is his passion for the disabled to be high achievers. He was active in implementing CIMB Foundation’s Community Link programme in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Cambodia from 2010 to 2012.

    Abdul Rashid is a project manager and has been involved in planning and organising sports projects for 8 years. He is formerly an account executive and a freelance photographer. He is a key player in the success of CIMB Foundation’s Sports Development Programmes.

    Chiau Ling has more than 4 years of experience in the community programmes of CIMB foundation. With an MBA complimenting her years of experience in finance, she now supports the finance and administration in The Foundation.

    Fairuz joined CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad in 2008 where he was managing the publication in Business Communications Department. He helped to build Fund Fact Sheet Automation System – the first of its kind in unit trust industry in Malaysia. In 2012, he moved to CIMB Foundation managing Community Link Projects, Graphic Designs, PINTAR, Donation, Events, Website, Exhibition, Festivities Celebration and Staff Engagement Programmes. He is now focusing on Foundation Website, CIMB Cares and Community Link Projects. 


    Sya firmly believes that education is key to poverty alleviation.

    She entered the public relations and event field following graduation in 1998, but found that her aspiration was to work with the underprivileged as a direct result of volunteer work during university. She spent a considerable part of her career working in the area of advocacy and programs - first on adolescent sexual and reproductive health with an international NGO and then a stint with public programming for a museum and art gallery in Kuala Lumpur. Sya joined CIMB Foundation overseeing Community Development.

    Noor Ali joined CIMB Foundation in 2014 and is currently the Manager in the Corporate Responsibility Department, looking after the Group donation. He also provides assistance and feedback for CIMB Islamic CSR and CIMB Regional. Prior to joining CIMB Foundation, he has served several positions within his 13 years career with the Central Bank.

    With a Bachelor of Laws degree from Cardiff University and Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Elizabeth works with the Education function, leading the Be$MART financial literacy programme to equip youth with the necessary mindset and skills to make informed life choices. Having begun her working career as a teacher in a high-needs school, Elizabeth has developed a heart for underserved communities believing that with the right opportunities and targeted intervention, such communities will be able to achieve a much brighter life trajectory.

    Indah joined CIMB Bank in Sept 2001. Started her career as a sales clerical under Credit Department, CIMB Bank, she then assisted Area Retail Manager (ARM 9) in managing 10 branches in Petaling Jaya and Damansara from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, she was promoted to assist the Regional Director (Klang Valley Area) managing 33 branches from 2008 to 2015. She continued her career assisting Head of Consumer Sales Department (CSD 1), managing 50 preferred branches nationwide. In 2016, she joined CIMB Foundation and is currently managing projects under Community Link.
